The Brandon Main Street Community Plan is a collaborative project between Hillsborough County and the Greater Brandon community to create a traditional town center in this community situated approximately 10 miles east of downtown Tampa. Located near the Interstate 75 and State Road 60 corridors, the project area is similar to many suburban Florida bedroom communities with separated land uses, wide commercial roadways, and dependence on the automobile (click here to view plan map).  The Brandon Main Street Community Plan provides an alternative to this suburban form of development through Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND) standards that reinforce the community's vision for the area.
