Town 誰 Country is a suburb of Tampa, located between the Hillsborough County-Pinellas County boundary and Tampa International Airport.  Initially developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, Town 誰 Country today is primarily built out.  With involved community leaders, a prime location, and many community assets, Town 誰 Country is a thriving community.  However, over time many strip commercial centers were left vacant or struggled to survive and neighborhoods constructed prior to the prevalence of deed restrictions, struggled to increase property values.

In 1998, the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners initiated a Community Based Planning program to give communities a voice in how they grow over time. Soon after this new program was established, a group of concerned citizens requested a community plan for Town 誰 Country. In October of 2000, a public meeting was held at Webb Middle School to launch a planning process for Town 誰 Country.

During the months that followed, a working committee of citizens was established and charged with the task of defining problems, establishing goals and outlining the community plan. A core group of approximately forty-five people, including residents, property owners, business owners, community leaders and community organizations, participated on this working committee, creating a wish list of goals designed to shape the future of Town 誰 Country.

What began as a number of loosely defined problems and solutions for Town 誰 Country, evolved into a refined, multi-faceted and long-term community plan with a number of strategic and attainable objectives. Community leaders have defined the plan痴 boundaries and developed 10 specific goals to reshape a diverse and growing community.
