|
The Planning Team began work with stakeholders of the greater Gibsonton area in September 2004. Through their active participation, a Community Plan will be developed to reflect the community’s values, provide guidelines for local development and address quality of life issues in the foreseeable future of the greater Gibsonton area.
Advisory Committee Workshops occur once every few weeks over a 12-15 month period. Opportunities will be available throughout the process for the general public to review and comment on the work products that are produced with the committee’s help.
Phase 1 of the process included a SPOT analysis assessing community strengths, problems, opportunities and threats, photography and mapping exercises detailing assets and liabilities which led to development of emerging patterns, themes and values. Phase 2 will include the development of a vision for the future, potential goals, strategies and policies.
Opportunities will be available throughout the process for the public to review and comment on the work products produced with the committee’s help. |
